Marneus Calgar remains a paragon of Ultramarine leadership and martial prowess. This new, 2025, model depicts him in the Armour of Antilochus, his famed Terminator suit, striding forward with the Gauntlets of Ultramar ready to crush anything in his path. The design calls back to his classic pose, updated with modern detail and heraldic flourishes worthy of the Chapter Master.
Almost as iconic is Cato Sicarius, who now joins Calgar not as a detached Captain but as the leader of the Victrix Honour Guard. Sicarius’ new miniature shows him raising the Talassarian Tempest Blade aloft, helmet in hand, his Mk X Tacticus armour richly decorated with laurels and an ornate back banner. Two optional heads are included, one calm and surveying the battlefield, the other roaring in mid-battle cry.
The Victrix Honour Guard themselves are 1st Company veterans sworn to defend Ultramar’s highest lords. The new kit includes three warriors with a wide array of build options: interchangeable greaves, helmets, and left-arm poses wielding master-crafted bolt carbines.
One can be built as a Chapter Champion, another as a Chapter Ancient carrying the Banner of Macragge. This vast, ornate standard might be the largest flag Games Workshop has ever sculpted.
Together, Calgar, Sicarius, and the Honour Guard form a centrepiece unit that is visually imposing and tactically formidable. The redesign reflects the Ultramarines’ blend of tradition and innovation, combining legendary characters with modernised sculpts.
