This evolved version of the Tyranid Warrior bioform is a first in the Warhammer universe, featuring a unique miniature unlike previous incarnations that were built from the Tyranid Warriors kit.
While the Warhammer Community article does not provide any rules, it does mention that the Winged Prime can “drop down into the midst of the foe, slicing and ripping apart anything that gets too close.”
It sounds like it will be able to deploy by deep strike into the middle of the battlefield suggesting that it will have a significant impact on the battlefield.
However, Games Workshop has yet to provide any official news on the rules surrounding this new model.
It’s worth noting that models for Tyranid Primes without wings already exist in the Warhammer 40k universe, albeit as a cosmetic upgrade to the regular Tyranid Warrior kit.
Keep an eye out for more updates from Games Workshop regarding the Winged Tyranid Prime’s release with the new Leviathan Box!
