Autarchs are legendary Aeldari leaders revered for their strategic brilliance, unrivaled martial prowess, and unwavering determination. Having traversed the Path of the Warrior without succumbing to obsession, these exceptional commanders now tread the Path of Command, harnessing their vast knowledge of wargear and battle tactics to lead the Asuryani warhosts to victory.

With this kit, you can assemble a unique Autarch, tailoring their appearance to reflect the Aspect Warrior Paths they have mastered. Choose between a star glaive or Scorpion chainsword for close combat encounters, while unleashing devastation upon your foes with options like the shuriken pistol, death spinner, Reaper launcher, or Dragon fusion gun. Additionally, personalize your Autarch’s style with a selection of Howling Banshee masks and Warp Spider jump generators. The kit offers further customization through alternate heads, varied torsos, and a backpack-mounted banner. Notably, this miniature seamlessly integrates with components from the Winged Autarch kit, providing boundless possibilities for individualization.

  • x1 Citadel 32mm round base.

How to paint the Autarch set

  1. Step 1: Get your Autarch ready
Start by giving your Autarch model a clean and prepare it for painting. Make sure there are no mold lines or imperfections that might affect your paint job.
  2. Step 2: Armor in Red
Begin by painting the Autarch’s armor in a bold red color. Take your brush, dip it in a vibrant shade like Wild Rider Red, and carefully apply it to the armor areas. Build up the color with thin layers until you achieve the desired coverage.
  3. Step 3: Weapons in Black
Switch to a black paint, such as Abaddon Black, and focus on painting the Autarch’s weapons. Apply the black paint to the weapon parts, ensuring smooth and even coverage. Take your time to get those weapons looking sleek and menacing.
  4. Step 4: Adding Highlights
To make the red armor pop, use a slightly lighter shade of red. Mix a little White Scar with the color you used as basecoat for the armor, to create a highlight color. Apply this lighter shade to the raised areas of the armor, emphasizing the edges and contours. This will give your Autarch a dynamic and eye-catching appearance.
  5. Step 5: Attention to Details
Now it’s time to paint the smaller details of your Autarch. Use a white paint, like Praxeti White, to add those intricate material details such as cloth or patterns. Take care to apply the white paint precisely and bring out the finer elements of the model.
  6. Step 6: Golden Accents
To make certain areas stand out, use a metallic gold paint, such as Retributor Armor. Apply this gold paint to any desired gold details, such as emblems or trimmings. It adds a touch of regal elegance to your Autarch.
  7. Step 7: A Splash of Magenta
Paint the Aeldari flag-like element above the Autarch with a vibrant magenta color. Create this shade by mixing Screamer Pink with Xereus Purple. Apply it to the flag, ensuring smooth and even coverage. This adds a splash of color and visual interest to your model.
  8. Step 8: Finishing Touches
Take a moment to inspect your Autarch and make any necessary touch-ups. Ensure all the colors are vibrant and the details are clean. Once you’re satisfied, apply a protective varnish to preserve your hard work and give your model a polished finish.
